Mathieur BOHET, France

Born in 1980, lives and works in Paris.

In 2001, he joined the School of Fine Arts in Rennes under the direction of Jacques Sauvageot. He met artists who use video while highlighting the artist's gesture. He works with Dinahet Luc Larmor Lydie Jean-Dit-Panel, and Robert Cahen. During a student exchange he discovered the classes of Bartolomé Ferrando, Faculty of Fine Arts in Valencia. This meeting confirmed his interest in action art. With artists from Valencia, he founded the association Sinberifora which aims to promote action art. He helped to organize the performance cycle entitled "Arrt d'acccio" which lets three performance artists meet every month.

Holding a DNSEP at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Valencia, he wrote in 2009 the final draft of his master on the topic of performance in relation to the idea of metamorphosis of narrative and image- movement. He discusses his practice of performance based on a theoretical reflection on these three concepts. His actions may have major social and political concepts or address of psychology building around archetypal figures. Video is a medium that goes through all his work, whether it is to document his actions, or in entering the process of implementing the action. Certain actions are accompanied by a video projection, which enables him to establish a relationship between the image and the action he performs live, and play with the boundaries of fiction and reality. Other measures are implemented in order to be filmed and exist only through the montage of his experience.

Aside from his personal practice, he developed several projects including a group of simultaneous actions proposed by the association as well as Sinberifora concerts Action Group ESOC and have recently elaborated experimental music with the band Romatkin.
